Comments on breeding tract
Zunheboto district is considered as the original breeding tract of these goats. However, being fascinated by the magnificent look of these animals, progressive breeders from other districts like Tuensang procure these goats for crossing them with their native goats. This is how one may find the presence of few animals of this breed outside its original native tract

Sumi-Ne goats are reared traditionally. Shelter is provided during night and during day time, animals are allowed to graze freely in nearby areas.
